Term Limits

Fed up with political spin? What if America’s leaders were held accountable for their broken promises and made to pay for their corruption?

On an overcast night in Washington DC, a group of highly-trained killers embark on a mission of shattering brutality. A shocked country awakens to the devastating news that three of their most powerful and unscrupulous politicians have been violently murdered.

In the political firestorm and media frenzy that follow, the assassins release their demands: either the country’s leaders set aside their petty, partisan politics and restore power to the people, or they will be held to deadly account.

TERM LIMITS is a tour de force of suspense, in which the ultimate democratic ideal – a government of the people – is taken to a devastating extreme

The Books

Vince Flynn’s first book Term Limits was published in 1997. This first book is a standalone thriller and while not containing Mitch Rapp it does feature several other characters which feature in future books. Term Limits is an instant page turner and became an instant bestseller.

Vince Flynn then released Transfer of Power in 1999. Transfer of Power introduces us to Mitch Rapp a CIA counter terrorism operative who is called upon to keep America and the world safe by any means necessary.
Mitch Rapp’s task of keeping America safe is not an easy one and Vince Flynn has written several more books in which he faces ever more dangerous foes both foreign and domestic! Each book makes a great read even without reading the previous.

For the full experience though you should read the books in order as the characters life’s progress from book to book, relationships form and past missions are referred to.

Vince Flynn

Although diagnosed with Dyslexia in school at this time he started to consider writing a book.We worked on his ideas in his part time while employed by United Properties, a real estate company. Later he quit to work full time on the book that would become “Term Limits”  It took five years and over sixty rejection letters from publishers until he took the route of self publishing. The book became a Number one seller in the Twin Cities and within a week he had signed a 2 book deal with Pocket Books (Simon and Schuster),

Term limits hit the New York Bestseller list which became a trend for all Vince Flynn novels. Vince Flynn books are so popular as he fully researches the area he write about. They have been read by presidents and are taken seriously enough for one high-ranking CIA official to tell his staff, “I want you to read Flynn’s books and start thinking about how we can more effectively wage this war on terror.”

The level of specific detail displayed in the Mitch Rapp series has even come under the scrutiny of the Department Of Energy. Memorial Day garnered a security review by the DOE due to concerns that the book contained classified material surrounding nuclear security.

Sadly Vince Flynn died on 19th June 2013 after losing his battle with cancer.
