Act of Treason

Act of Treason

There are two weeks to go to the US presidential election when the hot favourite, Josh Alexander, is ambushed by a terrorist bomb. He narrowly escapes, but members of his entourage are not so lucky. Alexander is carried to victory by a sympathy vote.

On the surface, it appears to be the work of al-Qaeda. But then CIA director Irene Kennedy is presented with classified information so toxic that she has no option but to call on Mitch Rapp, America’s top counterterrorism operative: the one man reckless enough to follow the evidence to its explosive conclusion…

The Books

Vince Flynn’s first book Term Limits was published in 1997. This first book is a standalone thriller and while not containing Mitch Rapp it does feature several other characters which feature in future books. Term Limits is an instant page turner and became an instant bestseller.

Vince Flynn then released Transfer of Power in 1999. Transfer of Power introduces us to Mitch Rapp a CIA counter terrorism operative who is called upon to keep America and the world safe by any means necessary.
Mitch Rapp’s task of keeping America safe is not an easy one and Vince Flynn has written several more books in which he faces ever more dangerous foes both foreign and domestic! Each book makes a great read even without reading the previous.

For the full experience though you should read the books in order as the characters life’s progress from book to book, relationships form and past missions are referred to.
